Deuteronomy 32 | King James Bible |
Chapter 33 | |
| And this [is] the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed14 the children of Israel before his death. |
| And he said,4 The LORD came1 from Sinai, and rose up1 from Seir unto them; he shined forth52 from mount Paran, and he came1 with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law 1881 799 for them. |
| Yea, he loved5 the people; all his saints [are] in thy hand: and they sat down27 at thy feet; [every one] shall receive4 of thy words. |
| Moses commanded14 us a law, [even] the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. |
| And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people [and] the tribes of Israel were gathered99 together. |
| Let Reuben live,4 and not die;4 and let [not] his men be few. |
| And this [is the blessing] of Judah: and he said,4 Hear,3 LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring55 him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help [to him] from his enemies. |
| And of Levi he said,1 [Let] thy Thummim and thy Urim [be] with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove14 at Massah, [and with] whom thou didst strive4 at the waters of Meribah; |
| Who said6 unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen1 him; neither did he acknowledge52 his brethren, nor knew1 his own children: for they have observed1 thy word, and kept4 thy covenant. |
| They shall teach55 Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put4 incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. |
| Bless,16 LORD, his substance, and accept4 the work of his hands: smite3 through the loins of them that rise5 against him, and of them that hate18 him, that they rise4 not again. |
| [And] of Benjamin he said,1 The beloved of the LORD shall dwell4 in safety by him; [and the LORD] shall cover6 him all the day long, and he shall dwell1 between his shoulders. |
| And of Joseph he said,1 Blessed30 of the LORD [be] his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth6 beneath, |
| And for the precious fruits [brought forth] by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, |
| And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, |
| And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and [for] the good will of him that dwelt6 in the bush: let [the blessing] come4 upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him [that was] separated from his brethren. |
| His glory [is like] the firstling of his bullock, and his horns [are like] the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push17 the people together to the ends of the earth: and they [are] the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they [are] the thousands of Manasseh. |
| And of Zebulun he said,1 Rejoice,3 Zebulun, in thy going out;2 and, Issachar, in thy tents. |
| They shall call4 the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer4 sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck4 [of] the abundance of the seas, and [of] treasures7 hid7 in the sand. |
| And of Gad he said,1 Blessed7 [be] he that enlargeth56 Gad: he dwelleth1 as a lion, and teareth1 the arm with the crown of the head. |
| And he provided4 the first part for himself, because there, [in] a portion of the lawgiver,26 [was he] seated;7 and he came4 with the heads of the people, he executed1 the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. |
| And of Dan he said,1 Dan [is] a lion's whelp: he shall leap17 from Bashan. |
| And of Naphtali he said,1 O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess3 thou the west and the south. |
| And of Asher he said,1 [Let] Asher [be] blessed7 with children; let him be acceptable7 to his brethren, and let him dip6 his foot in oil. |
| Thy shoes [shall be] iron and brass; and as thy days, [so shall] thy strength [be]. |
| [There is] none like unto the God of Jeshurun, [who] rideth6 upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. |
| The eternal God [is thy] refuge, and underneath [are] the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out17 the enemy6 from before thee; and shall say,4 Destroy54 [them]. |
| Israel then shall dwell4 in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob [shall be] upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down4 dew. |
| Happy [art] thou, O Israel: who [is] like unto thee, O people saved12 by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who [is] the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies6 shall be found liars11 unto thee; and thou shalt tread4 upon their high places. |
