Psalms 4 | King James Bible |
Chapter 5 | |
| To the chief Musician18 upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David. |
| Hearken54 unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.101 |
| My voice shalt thou hear4 in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct4 [my prayer] unto thee, and will look up.17 |
| For thou [art] not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell4 with thee. |
| The foolish6 shall not stand101 in thy sight: thou hatest1 all workers6 of iniquity. |
| Thou shalt destroy17 them that speak6 leasing: the LORD will abhor17 the bloody and deceitful man. |
| But as for me, I will come4 [into] thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: [and] in thy fear will I worship101 toward thy holy temple. |
| Lead3 me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies;6 make thy way straight54 before my face. |
| For [there is] no faithfulness12 in their mouth; their inward part [is] very wickedness; their throat [is] an open7 sepulchre; they flatter55 with their tongue. |
| Destroy54 thou them, O God; let them fall4 by their own counsels; cast them out54 in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled1 against thee. |
| But let all those that put their trust6 in thee rejoice:4 let them ever shout for joy,17 because thou defendest55 them: let them also that love6 thy name be joyful4 in thee. |
| For thou, LORD, wilt bless17 the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass4 him as [with] a shield. |
