Psalms 76 | King James Bible |
Chapter 77 | |
| To the chief Musician,18 to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. |
| In the day of my trouble I sought1 the Lord: my sore ran8 in the night, and ceased4 not: my soul refused14 to be comforted.9 |
| I remembered4 God, and was troubled:4 I complained,4 and my spirit was overwhelmed.101 Selah. |
| Thou holdest1 mine eyes waking: I am so troubled8 that I cannot speak.17 |
| I have considered14 the days of old, the years of ancient times. |
| I call to remembrance4 my song in the night: I commune4 with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.17 |
| Will the Lord cast off4 for ever? and will he be favourable2 no more?55 |
| Is his mercy clean gone1 for ever? doth [his] promise fail1 for evermore? 1755 |
| Hath God forgotten1 to be gracious?2 hath he in anger shut up1 his tender mercies? Selah. |
| And I said,4 This [is] my infirmity:15 [but I will remember] the years of the right hand of the most High. |
| I will remember4 2142 55 the works of the LORD: surely I will remember4 thy wonders of old. |
| I will meditate1 also of all thy work, and talk4 of thy doings. |
| Thy way, O God, [is] in the sanctuary: who [is so] great a God as [our] God? |
| Thou [art] the God that doest6 wonders: thou hast declared52 thy strength among the people. |
| Thou hast with [thine] arm redeemed1 thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. |
| The waters saw1 thee, O God, the waters saw1 thee; they were afraid:4 the depths also were troubled.4 |
| The clouds poured out19 water: the skies sent out1 a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.101 |
| The voice of thy thunder [was] in the heaven: the lightnings lightened52 the world: the earth trembled1 and shook.4 |
| Thy way [is] in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.8 |
| Thou leddest1 thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. |
